also make sure the lug is not turning as you fire. A lot of times if you hose a lot of shots off it CAN turn the lug just a bit. and if its right at the ragged edge this will cause it to not catch.

Key places to check when its not catching

1) make sure you have the proper distance set on your cocking rod (if adjustable)

2) make sure your lug is not turning back up or riding too close (crank it down a hair and tef tape or blue locktite is your friend)

3) make sure your expectations are realistic (hosing a case or two and expecting to not have to retime it from time to time....no...but you should not have to retime after every game...)

some less common problem spots

Ram Pressure and consistency
Front Reg pressure

bear in mind that CO2 is more susceptible to flux especially after shooting bursts (chills the air system down) Air or N2 systems are much easier to test bed and track down problems as well as being better overall for maintenance. Its worth the 150 - 200 bucks to switch over unless your area has no air (sadly some areas dont support N2/HPA)
