Lay the feed so it is resting flat on something flat but will give a little. Piece of tire, Soft pine board, etc.

I'm assuming the dent goes to the inside here. If not maybe the reverse of this idea.

Get a piece of pipe. rod etc, that is fairly big and put it in the hole directly over the ding. Now if you rap the rod with a hammer ( and miss the other side of your feed ) it should move it right out.

OR

Put the pipe if a vice and put the ding right over the top of the pipe and give a rap or two with a leather mallet, rubber mallet, piece of leather with a regular hammer.
