Im getting my first cocker this summer, but im not sure which one i want. I wanna spend anywhere up to about 650 for one. I was thinking of getting a GX4 from pbgear.com for 650, and ive seen pretty good reviews on it. I also like the reviews on the powerlite hybrid cockers. Are there other cockers in that price range would be a good choice? Also, Im kinda worried about their reliability. Ive seen a lot of guys at the field sitting out with a broken cocker trying to fix it. Are they really as temperamental and complex as people say? Im kind of a tinkerer by nature, and I have a spyder compact right now that I know inside and out and can completely fix, tune, disassemble, and reassemble it down to the last screw in my sleep. Do you think im ready for a cocker?
