: i thought i read in there that he is only 18, that opens alot of issues. most states can slap a big time penalty upon the parents that incourage or allows drinking by underagers. ask the lady i work with about her losing her drivers lic. because she let her 19 year old drink. : even if you didn't have anything to do with it, i would believe you have a responsibility to your son, and teh world of not glorifying the irresponibility of you offspring - i don't and won't, i think that invite more troble than it is worth. you could have left off the whole dring thing and still made your point about a car wreak. : i believe there should be parental contols on teh parents! : those are my 2 cents. As parents we can preach, rant, rave, bribe and cajole 'til (and here's an old cliche') we're blue in the face, but it all boils down to the individual and the choices they make. Nowhere has she "glorified" what her son did. Like Phishhead, you berate a mother who passes along information to try and help others avoid the same situation. I have 2 sons, 23 & 19. When you and PH have kids of your own, then you can talk to Stephanie and me about raising kids. DW
