I opened up the Rainbird APAS 075 (3/4") and compared it to the APAS 100 (1"), the internals are the same.

If you really want efficiency, build an exhaust valve. Spud Tech's Supah 2" valve is an exhaust valve. Opens with authority, full flow design. I've tried to get Joel to make smaller valves for the scenario guys. If there is interest, tell me or him and we'll see what can be done.
