Airbrush Painting my Gun

My dad is a outstanding artist and has a professional airbrush set. I am thinking of asking him to airbrush my Tippmann 98 Sniper. Is this a bad idea? I was just going to get some enamal paint or paint made for "real" guns and bows and have him use that. I realize that it wont be the same as getting it professionally anodized but is this a smart move and is there a process I should follow?
