: No. Just that a 14" is quieter than the 11". I haven't run into too many occasions where I wanted the middle ground barrel. Really, though, the Phantom's pretty quiet regardless of barrel

I guess that's because you're doing the pumping instead of the gun's internals, huh?

: Wisdom is inversely proportion to the volume at which it is proclaimed. That and I live in a tourney paintball town and am the sole 'crazy pump guy.' I get a lot of twibs asking me why I play with atricyclepy pump while they're wearing my paint.

That's actually where the "H-to-O" rule originated. It's pretty cheesy, but I thought it up after my friend spent the whole drive home last game telling me how badly I'd get smeared going up against autocockers with a pump. Basically, it goes something like:
Hell,
I'll
Just
Keep
Locating
More
Naive
Opponents.

That's the "H to O" rule. I'd still like to find something that works better for "L", but the rule holds regardless. It's amazing how many people underestimate someone with a slower rate of fire.

Besides, when you figure that the Phantom is extremely lightweight, and that I don't really need to carry around extra paint or wear a harness, I'm easily one of the most mobile players on the field. Besides, I have the range and can use it if I choose, so the only place I'd really be stuck would be trying to go toe-to-toe with multiple players at close range. At least, that's how I figure.

(If you have any ideas for the "L" word above, please tell me. I was thinking of putting the H-to-O rule on a shirt someday.)

: With all due respect to APG and the other paintball rags, have you ever read a bad product review in one?

True enough.

: I think Mike has started making them on a regular basis, or at least did another run. If you want them, ask. I particularly like the clear SC tube so you can see how many balls are left. If you get them, also look into the Dye clear panel grips. Much closer match (actually clear, not cloudy whitish) than the stickies. I also found the stickies to be uncomfortable when pumping because of the wrap around front. It's a matter of taste, see what you think.

That's good to know. I've heard several people complain that the after-market panels they bought didn't work with their markers, and I figured the Phantom would be harder to shop for than most.

(By the way, if you don't mind my asking, whereabouts do you play?)
