If your paint is small like a lot is these days, then roll-outs will occur. Trracers have a small spring that lies flat in a slot across the body near where the barrel screws in. Its accessed by removing the gripframe. This spring helps prevent doublefeeds and holds the bolt in place after pumping. Did you lose this spring? If the spring is gone, replace it. If it is still there, then small paint is the culprit. Try this ol' trick... load one ball in the chamber while there is NO AIR in the marker (for safety reasons). Slide a dowel or similar object down the barrel and mark it at the muzzle when it coems to rest on the ball. This shows you where the ball rests in the barrel before firing. Then remove the barrel and using the marked dowel for a guide, put some drops of fingernail polish in the barrel to act as a ball detent. Try a few drops, let dry, and test. Add more if needed, and use nail polish remover to remove if necesaary. Another quick fix at the field is to clean the bolt end of the barrel really good and apply a 1/2" strip of electrical tape there, making sure to flatten it real smooth. |
