You're right, you really can't beat the price. Thanks for the info, Burphel. I've got a friend whose philosophy is "if it doesn't fit, buy another barrel," and he's been giving me an earful for not running out and buying a Boomstick for my Phantom (even though I haven't even got my gun yet!) It's good to know that the rings will do the trick. I'm ordering a 14" nickel barrel along with my regular Phantom and barrel. (I know it would be cheaper just to start off with the nickel barrel period, but I' ve fallen victim to vanity and want to have a barrel to match the color scheme of the marker.) With those two, I should be good to go. Thanks again! : Well, cheap paint will always shoot (and break in your barrel) like cheap paint. My point is, instead of having to choose paint based solely on the bore size of your gun, these things let you choose based on quality, brittleness, fill color, etc. If you go to a tourney, big game, etc. that only offers, say, .685 RP AllStars or .691 El-cheapo-ball, you won't be forced to use a low quality paint because it's the only thing that fits in your stock barrel. Sure, you could get aftermarket barrels, but $6 beats $240 (3 barrels at $80 each) any day. And the stock barrel's pretty damn nice. : As for efficiency, I don't think it's effected much. I was shooting the SC incarnation of my gun w/ a 14" stock aluminum barrel and was still getting about 30 useful shots on a 12g. And this paint was really small. I was using the smallest ring to shoot it. If any setup would kill your effieciency, that (plus a short barrel, I suppose) should be the one to do it, but it didn't seem to be too much different from shooting a paint fitted to the barrel.
