warm to my touch.
+++ Inside the scuba tank is 60-80CF of pressurized air, usually starting at 2800-3000 psi. When you open the valve and fill the bottle, that air SLAMs against the inside of the hpa bottle. This friction creates heat. It also means your fill level will drop as the air inside calms down, the heat drives the psi up momentarily.
It's a good idea to start the fill slowly, just a little, so you don't whack the insides quite so hard.

it was leaking from and I found it was coming directly out of the nipple. Do I just get a new nipple for it?

++++=The fill nipple closes by a pin type valve. I forget the technical name, but it looks like a rivet pointing outwards inside the nipple. On the rivet head portion is an oring, the pressure inside the bottle keeps the oring tight against the inside of the nipple, the pin end of the 'rivet' keeps the valve in line. When you fill the bottle, the exterior PSI is more than the interior, and it pushes the valve open.
Sometimes the oring gets dry or the pin gets jammed open. Most times a couple drops of oil, either in the nipple or on the fill station, will relube the oring and valve and close it back up nicely.
Sometimes, the valve will get stuck open while you're still on the fill station. To get it closed, you need to get drastic. I'll tell you the trick if you want, but you may not care, let me know.

If it was Nitro and I filled it with HPA can that cause a problem
++++Nitro and HPA are the same thing. Scuba style fills are a mix of plain air and NO, scuba fills for paintball are usually just air.

Can I change the nipple myself or is it more complicated than that?

++++To change the nipple, you first need to bleed the bottle completely. the easiest way is to open the burst disk nut and let it leak until it's dry. Be careful if you remove the nut completely, as it may pop out with some little force.
If the bottle is empty already, open up the fill nipple, just so you can see what it looks like inside. Also you can then clean it and check teh oring, then oil and replace.
